Unfortunately, there is fairly good science behind this. Unlike most global warming agitprop, the developing Gulf Stream shutdown scenario is based on credible observations and on well-accepted ice cores from Greenland and other scientific data. The larger issues -- the human role in global warming, if any, and what to do about it, if anything -- remain on the table.

As for the first issue, the bad news for conservatives is that there is at least some human role in global warming. The far worse news for the Left is that the only economically plausible remedies for global warming will require hi-tech engineering and cutting edge science, big business support, and US leadership. Of course, we may be better off letting Europe freeze over in order to let nature resolve its pending Islamization.
