Yep. But what are they going to think of a nuclear armed Japanese regime on their doorstep?

Mrs. Myers is good, but I would have liked seeing Barbara Bush as the mom featured on Power Play of the Week.

Apparently China thinks a nuclear armed Communist regime on its doorstep is better than no Communist regime at all.

That was Kristol's point, and it's a good one. The Chi Comms believe they got it right at Tianamen Square, and Gorbachev got it all wrong. Forced to choose between a nuclear NK and a destabilized NK, they pick the former.

Silly (but, interesting) Fox Poll: "Who is your mother most like?" Answer: 47% Laura Bush; 21% Hillary Clinton.

Actually, for a change, the Power Player of the Week was very interesting - Mary Ann Myers, the wife of Gen. Dick Myers, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. Seems that she has been very involved with supporting the troops. Nice lady.

"nuclear option" -we should not use language in a way that is laid out by the democrats in a profoundly anti-right way. If the phrase is used at all, it should only be used to refer to the illigal use of the fillibuster. Remember that Stalin said that step one in controlling the country was to gain control of the press. He knew a very simple truth; control the words people use and you control their thinking and their subsequent actions.

Beyond that, I have no strong feelings on the matter!

Let's face it Juan is sooo stoopid he does inspire aggressive posting. Who else could endure a Sunday morning smackdown week after week and still go on Nat. t.v. just to get smacked again!!

That is a new tactic Senate Dems are threatening to use. Apparently, every committee must have at least one of the opposition party (OP) present to do business. If no OP member is present, the committee cannot vote; thus it cannot get nominees out of committee.

Is that really true? Is there any source for that claim? I would think that parlimentary procedures would allow a vote once a quorum was reached.

All I can think of is 1) he gets paid to get beat up, and 2) he gets to show his ability of parroting Democrat talking points from memory.

If I'm right, do I get a prize?

The chairman calls the meetings and sets the agenda. So Lugar can just wait them out.

Wait them out? If the Dems can block us, then who is doing the waiting out? We want a vote sooner rather than later.

Tim is one classic example of a man who was educated far past his ability to comprehend the material. He would have made a passable barkeep in South Boston.
