I liked Iain Duncan Smith. But, what do I know...I'm an American. :-)

Fulham -That name sounds familiar, is that a muslim district or a persons name?

Interesting that the spread betters are still trading at a higher majority figure than the exit poll suggests(73-80 currently showing). They did go lower but look like they've had some money for a higher majority.

Are these trends going to hold or is there any chance of things getting tighter?
To: B Knotts
I liked IDS too. However he never really got much of a chance - the media burned the poor fellow.

I think we have to keep in mind that there are going to be local factors at play - so we'll see above average or below average swings in some constituencies based upon the quality (or lack thereof) of the candidates.

Yeah, I noticed that. Glad they didn't disappoint. It only took 20 minutes to get back to doing what they LOVE to do....

Sean just announced Labour lost.Sean also said that the mini-bomb blast in Manhatten this morning was proof we need to control the borders. He appears to work hard and he's a pretty boy, but not terribly bright IMHO.

Douglas Hurd on BBC World just now pontificating on how much better the Tories would have done if they had voted against the Iraq war.
He is an excellent illustration of why the Tories have been out of power for the last 8 years.
