Commentary about how Blair was not thrilled with discussions about his private life
5 times a night Blair.
Does that mean what I think it means?

The supercilious anchorman is Jeremy Paxman. At some point this evening, he's probably going to get angry with some politician for lying to him, and gut them quite mercilessly.
It's often amusing to watch because he's an expert at it.

Andrew Sullivan thinks Blair is in deep trouble:
BLAIR IN DEEP TROUBLE: The latest Peterborough result is another 7 percent swing against Blair. The Tory victory against the Liberal Democrats in Torbay is also very bad news for Blair. If a swing of 6 or 7 percent against Labour continues, then Labour could actually fail to win this election. I repeat: Labour might not win at this point. This is shaping up to be a huge blow against the prime minister. Developing hard ...

It's in London and went to Labour by 13 points in the last election. One might consider that a surprise.

Then I think it's time to get rid of Howard. What I'm seeing is a huge dropoff for Labor with smaller dropoffs for Tories. This is a huge wasted opportunity. The Tories need someone more attractive and with more energy. I looked at the internals of some polls and it seems that Conservatives are only winning among those 65+... that is not a coalition on which to build a future party.
