Yes I saw it. And that's just my take. I agree with what Peach said. I'm not going to throw the lady under the bus on this one because some of it was funny. But the horse joke and maybe one other for me was just not something if I had my druthers I would have expected or wanted a First Lady to say. It's not something I would even want a President to say. I realize those jokes have been around for a very long time but I see it as the sort of joke you would tell in private company, not on a national stage. Not too upset either way about it, just indifferent leaning towards disagreeing with it slightly.
I have to agree with you that the hyperbole is a little over the top on this issue, as some other issues have been of late here.

It's gotten ridiculous around here, for several months now. We can't even talk politics without being accused of being the "wrong" kind of conservative or Christian.
Big tentville has left the party of compassionate conservative.
