I thought Laura was hilarious, and I wasn't offended by anything she said. But then I'm just one of those heathen, earthy, crude West Texas gals who understands the horse/cow joke and knows it has nothing to do with sex or beastiality - and the joke is about a hundred years old.

Having grown up all my life around ranchers, farmers, and truckers in my family, all the jokes seemed rather tame to me, and were hilarious because they were so absurd. Dollars to donuts, Laura has never seen "Desparate Housewives" and the thought of her going to Chippendale's is totally ludicrous - that's why it's so funny.

I just cannot get my mind around all the hysteria and histrionics about this. If people choose to be offended, so be it. When it comes to humor, to each his own - whatever floats your boat. But to read anything into this more than just a difference in opinion about humor to me is silly.

Much ado about nothing.

You can say that again. These worthless threads leave me exacerbated defending against pointless outrage.

I bet the smack talkers hate their neighbors too having been given the time to find enough fault with the innocent to do so.

Give them time and they will hate us all no matter where we stand.
