What God do you worship?
I live in the NW, we do have a huge need for adopting older children but anyone under 4 usually gets adopted fairly easy after going through all the red tape and road blocks placed by WA STATE. But this abortion argument really comes back to fundamental values. Not having sex outside of marriage. People staying married, people getting married if they do have an "accident". Whatever happened to people doing the right thing?
That is truly a very ignorant question!
I believe that God judges individuals and not nations. Thus I am not concerned.
In response to your above post I asked you a question, I don't feel it was ignorant. You stated that you believed "God" does not judge nations....therefore I am asking (what I believe to be) a legitimate question, My next question might go something like "why would you believe this about "God"? If you prefer not to answer questions thats find, but to insult me is completely inappropriate.
I took great exception to your question because it implied there was more than one God. I would suggest that there is but one God and that people have different views regarding his nature/attributes.
My view is that He is capable of discerning between the innocent and the guilty. Thus why would he inflict mass punishment on an entire nation?
I'm sorry you misunderstood my original question. I too believe in One God, and all my understanding of God comes from The Bible and looking at past events in scripture, He certainly does judge nations. He certainly does discern who belongs to Him, but that doesn't mean He doesn't judge the nations as a whole.
If one believes in the 'concept' of heaven and hell in the sense that the 'good' are rewarded and the 'evil' are punished, why would God punish both the 'good' and the 'evil'?
