My fellow FREEPers,
I know it's been a while. Well i forgot to duck. By the time most of you see this I will be on my way to Germany for treatment. The war for me is done. My men continue to do the job. This last rash of bombings and attacks are being under reported and I don't know why. Al Queada is getting desparate. I don't know when I'm will RTS. But I do imagine that it will be soon. God I love wireless. LOL! Please keep praying for us.

I met Capt. Pierce during a FReep and spoke with him at length then and at the KABC event, have heard his passion for America and FREEDOM and liberating Iraq...
While I've only been around him two days, I am CERTAIN that he is legit. If he had been posting all the time, that wouldn't sound like a man in a war zone!
As regards multiple persons using the same computer equipment, email address, FR logon from that war zone, DITTO--that sounds like real life.
I thank you, Capt. Pierce, for your service and apologize for my stateside FRiends that have doubts. Godspeed your recovery and let me know when you're back in town.

I apologize as well. Some valid concerns have been raised but we should not lose our focus on praying for Capt. Pierce and thanking him for his service. The rest of this can and will be sorted out.
I don't think you need to apologize for the Freepers who have doubts. They raise some legitimate questions. Surely they would praise an injured Capt. Peirce if the story turns out to be true.
I hope this story isn't true. The sacrifice over there has been great.
Not to indicate which way I'm leaning right now, but that statement is nonsense. His injuries could be to lower extremities, not affecting his ability to type. Things could have gotten worse, pain wise, and they might have medicated him causing him to conk out. There are other possibilities as well.
It would be interesting and useful to know if the time stamp on the email is before or after the time stamp on the thread.
'Nonsense', I don't think so, but we will find out. Tell me El Gato, if you were a new poster, or a lurker for a while and you were injured in the war, would you think to have a thread posted on FR about your injury? Would be the furthest thing from my mind. As I said before, I am skeptical, and if I am wrong, I apologize to Captain Mike Pierce.

He's only pinged me once that I can recall, just after seeing him at the event with Hannity. He came over to me when he saw me at that (KABC/Hannity) event and gave me a huge bearhug, he remembered me well from the FReep. He had righteous anger in his eyes as he mentioned how tough it is to be recruiting for the Military on college campuses, which was one of his responsibilities here even while on a brief leave.
Capt. Pierce was so furious with some of the Liberal nonsense being bantered about (not necessarily advocated) on the talk show stage that he stood up and called it like he saw it. It was after that that Hannity etc. invited him onstage and thanked him. Guaranteed unrehearsed and not for personal benefit but because of principles and character.
