" we're now waiting for someone, anyone in the Republican Congress to set Hillary straight. tick tick tick ... "

Prepare for a loooong wait.
The emotionless, bland , " have you hugged a Democrat today ? " terrified Republicans in the Senate have unfortunately spread their affliction to the White House.
And I say this as a card carrying Bushbot.
Yesterday on Tony Snow's radio show, Rick Santorum plaintively complained that the Republicans in the Senate have been trying to compromise with the Democrats, but, the Democrats just won't cooperate.Waaa Waa.
That's their problem-they think their function is to compromise and not drive the agenda.
If I see the Bushs air kissing and hugging the Clintons one more time, I'll vomit.
And then burn my Bushbot card.
We know that President Bush and VP Cheney are perfectly capable of taking off the gloves, but, they've been wearing padded mittens for the last couple of months.
The George Bush we are seeing now is not the George Bush we saw on the stump , just a few months ago.
And it's certainly not the WOT George Bush.
I hope that the WH, at all levels, starts taking demeanor lessons from Zell Miller and General Tommy Franks and stops emulating Mr Rodgers.
Too much is at stake.

Now WHO in the Bush Administration will remind the MSM of this? OR, do they even care? Afterall, they may not want to cause any rift amongst Daddy Bush and his new adopted son (Bubba Bush, er...I mean Bubba Clinton.

What?

So, with her logic: The Pope was alive when Bush took office too. Is the Pope's death Bush's fault?

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton is blaming President Bush for the fact that North Korea can now hit the U.S. with nuclear missiles - after a top intelligence official told her Thursday that Kim Jong Il's ICBM's can now reach the Northwestern U.S.

Huh????

Wasn't it here Husband that kissed up to the NK with deals made by Jimmy Carter at her husbands behest and who sold missile technology to nations we knew would give it to the NK?

She's delusional as usual.

"Typical Clinton maneuver; blame others for what you are responsible for."

Yep, he even sent the peanut farmer over there to bring back assurances that of course the NKs weren't up to any nuclear chicanery. And if jimmah says so, you can take it to the bank (and I'm sure they did ... take it to the bank, I mean).

Nice try, Mrs. Toon - but our memories are a little longer than that.

Thanks for the charts.

My beef with Hillary's comments is simple--the way she and the dems (especially, not exclusively) phrase the discussion is a subtle but powerful way of saying the government GIVES you the economy--ergo, the government can GIVE money, social services, etc, because the government is all-powerful and in control of the economy. It's wrong to say the government has NO control over the economy but ultimately the more powerful forces on the economy's health are non-governmental market elements.

The dot.com and real estate sectors had far more to do with the economic boom than Clinton's first budget, which he claims saved us all. The cuts Gingrich and company pushed were what shored up the budget--remember Clinton's incessant "deficits as far as the eye can see" and his annual predictions of deficits, and how all that just vanished AFTER the republican congress got its way? And voila, suddenly Bill was all for that stuff, even though a government shutdown resulted from their fighting over it.

Those sectors and oil tightening resulted in the pre-W economic downturn, but even more pertinent is the nature of economies, period--they're cyclical, an economy is always in motion (economy is a verb, not a noun, as I once joked--poor English but appropriate).

Bush should dump Albright immediately.

Some people have a way of saying it so completely with so few words. Perfect! Good One!

What is frightening however is that she is correct ... the NC's couldn't .... until now.

Reports in early 2000 citing U.S. intelligence findings said that Taepo Dong balistic missles could hit the west coast. As far as Putonium and Uranium bombs, reports vary, but some reports do indicate N.K. had nuclear bombs before 2001.

I've been hearing a lot of the dems 'offering this' and 'offering that', and I keep saying WHO CARES what they are offering, Republicans have the majority, but then a Voinovich comes along.

oh really? To whom - other Republicans? I'm talking about responding to this via the media where sheeple actually see it. Sorry. Didn't catch their response on CNN. Yes, I said CNN. Our side needs to be so strong and effective in responding that even CNN carries it.

"so strong and effective in responding that even CNN carries it."

I sure hope you're not holding your breath on that one.

And .. just for the record .. when Rush Limbaugh (who's "strong and effective") exposed Harry Reid's legislation which gave financial preference to his family, NONE OF THE OTHER MEDIA OUTLETS WOULD EVEN TOUCH THE STORY - even though Rush left it up on his web site for several days.

The very fact the media ignored the story proves once again how biased and protective they are of democrats.

Oh yeah .. by the way .. when I get my RNC Research emails - I post them on the internet - where the "new media" can read them.
