I just do not want to see this when I am eating. It seems most of those stories take place in a restaurant of fast-food place. This is the same to me, as a guy taking a leak in the middle of a food court.

Are you serious? You think nursing a baby is equivalent to a man peeing in the middle of a food court?

Wow!
Would you say the same about watching a baby drinking a bottle? It's no different and in no way comes anywhere near a man whipping out his penis and peeing in public.

Do you know what you were fed as an infant? Let's hope that it didn't contain urine, but considering your brain development it wouldn't surprise me.

I can't understand why you would not want to "see this while eating". I feel it as natural as watching a flower bloom, personally. I suppose I'm assuming a certain level of tact and discretion, however.

Wow, had you woken up thinking you'd be flamed for saying THAT?
Your flamers want it both ways.
They want to say "It's OK to do in public because it's natural."
You point out, undeniably, "Elimination is natural too, but it isn't OK to do in public."
Rather than abandoning or refining the "natural" argument, they attack you -- rather viciously -- for pointing out its insufficiency.
Sad.

To: r5boston
My Lord!!! are your comparisons sophomoric. Breast feeding a baby is akin to urinating in public??? Sheesh... of all the years I've been on FR, all the posts, all the threads that has to be one of the more asinine comments of all time. But I shouldn't be surprised...FR is attracting a vastly different 'type' now. One of the reasons I no longer posts the hundreds upon hundreds of foreign policy, DOD, defense, advance technology threads as I once did.
'Me thinks' you have many other issues, other hangups not revealed here.
According to the article, the woman was covered. I have been in the presence of women breastfeeding and ALL were very discreet in all their actions. Women's maternal fashions/bras allow breasting feeding in a very nondescript way. Many times the only way you know its going on is the presence of her blanket/cover and the way she is holding her arms. Amazing that bothers people.
Others on this thread have stated about some women 'popping out a boob' well I don't agree with that...but I have never seen that done. Urinating in public is a natural 'thing' for the beasts among us.
Is averting your eyes, (or stare) too much for you? But alas, with your stated position...others should accomodate your sensibilities.
