A Georgia bride-to-be who vanished just days before her wedding turned up in New Mexico and fabricated a tale of abduction before admitting Saturday that she got cold feet and "needed some time alone," police said.
Jennifer Wilbanks, 32, had called her fiance from a pay phone late Friday and told him that she was kidnapped three days earlier while she was jogging, authorities said. But she soon recanted, according to police.

We a happy she is alive. Now she will live with her actions for the remainder of her life, as will her family and friends. She seems to have a very supportive family -- maybe overwhelmingly so.

I suspect this is the key statement. Her family was probably SO in fovor of this wedding she felt pressured to go along. She is possibly a "pleaser" and needed to clear her head. She could have done as much w/o involving the police however.

I knew she looked familiar, she was shootin' pool and drinkin' Tecate's down at the Schafer Hotel in Mountainair.

Well, now we can watch O'Reilly eat some crow.I stopped watched the blowhard O'Reilly months ago. I just could take "I'm watching out for the little people" mentality anymore.
Just what did the great brilliant "protector of the little people" have to say about this little soap opera to which he needs to eat a plate of crow?
Not that he would of course.

If he isn't saying that, he should be. He's a lucky guy--she's alive, and he's not married to her. He should be celebrating.

There are other ways of avoiding getting married. I wonder if she will be charged with anything by the authorities. Didn't they charge that gal last year who cost a lot of police hours, etc.?

No kidding. What's wrong with just having a heart to heart with her honey? Sure, it's a big deal to call it all off--but not half as big a deal as what actually happened! Over 30, and no sense whatever. Wonder if she's a 'rat?

Oh, Katie, or possible Babwa WaWa, will have a heart-rending interview, somehow making the groom look like a neanderthal.
