Jennifer Wilbanks, the bride-to-be from Duluth, Ga., who disappeared Tuesday night has been found alive in New Mexico after apparently being kidnapped by a man and woman and driven across the country.

You're right. Which is more likely--that a woman would be kidnapped the night before her wedding, driven 2000 miles and then released unharmed, or that a woman with 600 invited guests would fake an abduction in order to escape the social humiliation of not showing up for her own wedding? In my opinion, the latter is far more believable.
Got to agree with you.
If somehow this turns out to be a hoax, is she going to reimburse the taxpayers for the money wasted on this search ?
Turns out we aren't. She has confessed.
She ran off. But, I don't think she can be charged, can she? She didn't call the police and report herself abducted.
Lots of speculation, and criticism those doing the speculating, on that thread. I was the first one to wonder out loud if she was Fargo'd. (Not saying she was, just wondering....).
Huh?
Details?
I agree. If true, really strange.
She sure put her family thru hell.
I'm glad she was alive.
I'm surprised she didn't go for the 'alien abduction' gambit!
On the other thread, (link posted above), they say there is confirmation she boarded a bus. This little bit of information from Grayhound could be damning.
I'm glad she's alive as well. I had a Chandra Levy kinda feeling.
Obviously a very immature 30 year old. No consideration for how her disappearance would hurt her parents, fiancée or friends.
I agree. Too many people are too quick to jump on the husband because "he didn't act right".
People who haven't been in a situation like that have no idea what it's like. He probably didn't know how to act. The woman you are about to marry is gone which is about as emotional a situation as you can get AND you are suspect #1 even though you know you had nothing to do with it.
I have a 26 year old daughter, she would never pull a stunt like this because she knows I would kill her when she got back.
Well if the family kills her, at least we will all know why. I am kind of happy for her fiance; the poor sap almost married this loon. He was saved by a mere matter of days.
But all I can clearly remember is that I was simply "out of it", it was almost like an out of body experience. My wife is not only my wife but my best friend as well and the worry of losing both fritzed me out more than anything I've experienced (and I've been in other hairy situations that didn't).
They were in a van so maybe it was a traveling salon, sort of like those people who come to your house to groom your dog. It just takes them awhile to do the job.
