Credit card bills would come out once a month, I'm sure they weren't checking around for greyhound ticket purchases.

For a major card, you can go online and find almost-immediate purchase info. (I can go to Walmart, use my card, and the charge is at my CC website by the time I get home 10 minutes later. Modern technology allows almost instant transactions and records.)

If you bank online you can pretty much do the same, even if all you ever use is a debit card.
