Sending cops on a wild goose whether for self or another person is still a wild goose chase!

Then every runaway is liable.

Sorry, no. Not offhand. I just typed "Kidnapping Hoax" and "Faked Kidnapping" into Google and got lots of hits. I was curious about your question as well.

Well, I had enjoyed a media blackout from around 4am PST to 3pm PST and just logged on to find out, I think, that the Runaway Bride has recanted the abduction story and looks like she just took off for a siesta.

Well, lucky for many pie-in-the-sky Freepers we aren't the type to say 'we told you so!'

But, "WE TOLD YOU SO!"

I'm glad she is alive but I'm glad I am right, too. The abduction story made no sense to anyone with an ounce of clarity of thought could see that! A lot of Freepers need a healthy dose of cynicism, sometimes! ;-)

It's the PREMEDITATION that is so cruel and mean.

She had a blanket over her head! Not exactly the "veil" she is suppose to be wearing today.

How ironic.

What an excellent observation on the irony and symbolism! She's marked for life.

I will take odds that he learns something. $40 on the four and ten offset.

My thoughts too, Howlin.

Could be she's superstitious. After all, isn't it unlucky for the groom to see the bride before the wedding?

;-D

Well, I couldn't imagine her riding cross-country on the bus and I still can't imagine her staying in downtown Vegas. I see her wanting to stay on the strip somewhere like Bellagio.

If she stays at the Bell then she has to go off-season to get the $119. lakefront deal that we got. Bad timing.

Fiance put out the "cold feet" excuse on the first day. Not exactly the first thing I would think of.

Unless he knew her pretty well, and had been willing to tolerate her idiosyncrasies. I've been there.

With a $140 bank roll, and 2 bus tickets to buy, where did she sleep?

What is up with the teddy bear and blanky?????

The LEO give them to traumatized children. This woman fits that description.

Not minors. What they should do is sheck her put with a shrink. If she is nuts, then no charges, if she is sane then charge her.
