She's wearing a towel over her head!LOL! Just tuned in and saw the replay of the indian blanket over her head at the airport. If she hasn't had a complete mental breakdown yet, she will by the time the media are through with her! FNC was calling for her head on a platter this afternoon. This is a hoot.

This woman is a DISGRACE.
Six hundred guests thought she was dead or injured. What was it sixteen showers LATER, she decides in ADVANCE, purchasing a bus ticket to Las Vegas to skip out on hundreds of volunteers, police, the FBI have their time wasted! She also LIES to police and the FBI that she was abducted! Her finance is looked at as the KILLER!
Geesh!
The next time an adult goes missing people will start to think THAT is a premeditated hoax too.
This woman needs to make restitution on the nationwide expense she incurred ... and something needs to be done about her lying to authorities and making up a story about being kidnapped. Ohio has a "panic statutue" - this needs to be in all states to people don't cry wolf like this.

Not only is the story a hoot---but this thread has been a hoot--
Cajungirl and Wedding planner have spun a southern tail throughout the day that is book worth itself...
and I for one have to thank them for their guide through "Southern Living"---and the pitfalls it has..LOL

Justice can't be ignored when so many others, outside her family, has spent time and money and grief trying to locate her based on a selfish criminal act of staging an abduction. Seriously - do you know of a case where a staged self abduction was prosecuted? I've been looking for one, or a statute, etc. I can find cases where people faked kidnappings for ransom and were charged. But I haven't found one where the object was to disappear with "a false explanation."
Either way, traces or not, the cops go looking. They looked for Chandra Levy based only on "she's not here." They wouldn't have looked more or less if there had been a quickly found shock of her hair. Point being, the loss is the searching in vain, and the loss doesn't depend on faking the circumstance.
I'm not trying to equate the two cases, BTW. Just making the observation that the (wasted) search is independent of the evidence left behind.

Part of me is saddened by the dysfunction parade in this story, but the other part thinks this is the most entertaining thread I've seen on here in ages !
(does that spell schizophrenia?)
Flash Update: CNN says she's comin' home in 1st Class !

"She made no attempt to contact her family and let them know she wasn't dead," criminal profiler Pat Brown said. "That is a terrible, cruel thing to do. She allowed her fiance ... to become a murder suspect. That's a terrible thing to do. I mean, she allowed every one of her friends to think she was dead. This is very narcissistic behavior."
I agree!
And it was ALL PLANNED in ADVANCE by this self absorbed woman.

When she called 911 and told them that she had been abducted from Ga and they dropped her off in NM, that is falsely reporting a crime to LE, and to an emergency number, yet.
