No I am not but I am laughing, she is a spoiled upper class girl from the north side of Atlanta getting married to a really rich redneck.

She will be so sorry but she still loves him and he will forgive her and want to protect her the rest of her life because she has issues.

Flame away LOL I am grew up and lived most of my life on the south side of Atlanta. This drama is a characteristic of a "southern belle".

This will be talked about in every ladies Sunday School class in metro and suburb in Atlanta. Shoot I am going to call all my friends this afternoon. LOL

The fiance should consider himself to be the luckiest man alive. On the other hand, if he goes through with the wedding he's the....

She said exactly what I was thinking. This woman needs to be criminally charged

If she has to pay retribution to LE and others it will just be another wedding expense. Both families have cash.

Since the bus ticket was purchased in advance I'd say there's WAY MORE to this story that we haven't heard yet. Time will tell.

I keep hearing runaway bride but this fails to meet the definition. This is nothing more than willful act to commit fraud. Runaway brides don't try to make people think they were abducted or killed and don't keep their families wondering what happened? The first response after she came forward was that she was abducted but then came clean which would mean she meant for everyone to think she was abducted.

I've been mulling all this over, and I'm gonna be slow to assume this is the last twist in the story.

She apparently bought the ticket a week ago, expressed no hint to anyone of cold feet, and left for a 'jog', leaving hair where it would be found, leaving her wallet and things at home so that the whole abduction story would work. She didn't run away with a suitcase, she tried to fake her own death, at least temporarily. Scared overwhelmed people don't do that, unless it's a "Sleeping with the Enemy" sort of scenario... but I don't think it is... she didn't plan it well enough to disappear long term. She was trying to get back at somebody.

Runaway Lyrics

Artist: Del Shannon
Album: Runaway

As I walk along,
I wonder what went wrong,
With our love, a love that was so strong.
And as I still walk on,
I think of the things we've done
Together, a-while our hearts were young.

I'm a-walkin' in the rain,
Tears are fallin' and I feel the pain,
Wishin' you were here by me,
To end this misery
And I wonder--
I wah-wah-wah-wah-wonder,
Why,
Why, why, why, why, why she ran away,
Yes, and I wonder,
A-where she will stay-ay,
My little runaway,
Run, run, run, run, runaway.

I'm a-walkin' in the rain,
Tears are fallin' and I feel the pain,
Wishin' you were here by me,
To end this misery
And I wonder--
I wah-wah-wah-wah-wonder,
Why,
Why, why, why, why, why she ran away,
Yes, and I wonder,
A-where she will stay-ay,
My little runaway,
Run, run, run, run, runaway.
Run, run, run, run, runaway.
Run, run, run, run, runaway.

Why would ya think they turn back on 40 to Amarillo after dropping her in ABQ NM ? Heading back to GA ? Seems a long way to travel with a hostage if your weren't headed west in the first place. Just my opinion of course.......

That's right.

It's not unusual for women to have post-wedding depression. For months, all the attention is on you, and then the day comes, and it's over. a 600 person wedding is huge. I think she didn't want the attention to go.

Yesterday, during the LE presser, Chief Belcher thanked agency, after agency for their help. IIRC, he included the GBI, FBI and Homeland Security.

I just heard a replay of his presser. No TV on the bus or in the bus station.....she had no idea....

Then she truly is whacked. Did she think nobody would notice? Her friend says Jennifer had no idea this would turn into a criminal investigation.

It was a "mistake"

I'm thinking she's mentally ill and nobody noticed.

I wouldn't criminalize it either. But a civil penalty is more than in order. Or are you an advocate of taking no responsiblity for the damage one does to others?
That last question is really broad, and can't be answered simply. And, we disagree on the matter of civil penalty for run away. You think there should be one, I don't.

In this case the southern men will take care of this poor little bride and nothing else will be said. It's a southern thing. LOL

From Bisli Events Service:

The morning of your Wedding day will fly by quicker than you ever imagined, so be sure to schedule enough time for everything that must take place. A well planned morning will keep tempers down, faces smiling, and allow of to have more fun. The rest of your Wedding day will benefit immensely for it.

;-)

"I'm thinking she's mentally ill and nobody noticed."

Me too. I don't think it's about "attention". Anyone who would go through with this IS mentally ill. Or at least temporary insanity.
