hmm i haven't heard too much about this one. I doubt it's the fiance from what i have heard. What does he do? Is he involved in something where his "reputation" actually matters? Seriously, in todays world there is no loss of reputation from leaving a girl at the alter (you'll look like an ass) and if you are too afraid to do that, then you get it annulled a couple days afterwords, or just divorce her. You could also take the "Sleep with other women until she gets the hint" route if that's more your style.

I don't think she ran off either. I'm going for the hit and run, or random mugging/rap murder.

I feel horrible for all involved though :/

The fiance is the son of the former Mayor of Duluth and the wedding was supposed to have had 600 guests and 28 in the bridal party. I think he got cold feet - couldn't face the embarrassment of not going through with it.

He is being supported by his family. Being jilted and having to cancel the wedding would look real bad.
