Thank you for posting this...I hadn't had time to read/listen to/watch the news, so I always appreciate the Freepers keeping us informed.
I still have Mr. Miller's speech from the convention...always a good read when I need the inspiration. We need more like this guy.
My prayers too for Mr. Miller.

Miller, 73, excused himself from the stage at a banquet for the Gainesville Care Center.....Having sampled food at my mother's nursing home, I can understand how he felt.

The last great Conservative Democrat. May he live 100 years.

A man who serves and loves his country his entire life is not a 'nut.'
A man who stands up against his own party when it no longer loves its country, or cares about its future, is not a 'nut.'
Zell is a patriot, and a good and courageous man, and I'm thankful that he is already feeling better.

Well said.
Get well Zell. I will never forget your RNC speech.

If Zell's a nut, then let there be more nuts like him.
Prayers up for a speedy recovery!

Zell Miller is what the Democratic Party used to be, maybe 40 years ago. Along with Sam Nunn and Henry Jackson (RIP, Scoop). You may not agree with them, but at least they are not the "hate America, hate Bush" that the Democratic Party has become.
Get well, Zell.

I hope he's OK and all is well.
He's the only Democrat I could vote for.

There was a thread last week where a poster asked if we Freepers would like to have trolls and such left on the threads longer so we could make up our own minds about the comments....
The thread got rather lengthy and I do believe the sentiment was, that although a poster may say something trollish, derogatory or whatever, that the freepers wanted more time to answer the poster rather than have the posts and or the whole thread pulled....

I like Zell as much as the next conservative, but is it just me, or didn't we make fun of him a few short years ago (on Rush Limbaush's program it had a fake commercial of him as Governor providing all expecting mothers with country music to play for their child they're carrying). Nonetheless, praying for this great leader to recover. I just wish he would drop the Dems like 3rd period french and come to the side that would welcome him with open arms, rather than keep him at arms length..

That is nice to know, that at least there has been discussion. I have been preaching this doctrine for some time, at least since the days of ASH, however, it is not my web site so, I can preach all I want to. I can understand the fine line between too much and too little moderating.

We don't have too many Zell Millers in America today. I wish we did. We need men like Zell Miller for America's future.
Prayers are being sent to him. God Bless Zell Miller.
