Two opinions on this news conference: the WH press corp is spiteful and nasty - they are no friends of conservatives; and Bush has too much rouge on his cheeks, or my TV needs more tuning. I think Bush is doing a good job.

I'll be damned if I'll admit which side of that line I'm on. :-)

You could have applied for credentials and gone to the press conference.

If you didn't, you don't have a right to complain and call me ignorant when I know very well he did not address the topics you mention (ignorance is lack of knowledge).

The president of the United States has yet to mention the border situation.

And he has yet to be asked a question about the borders.

Exactly, and Mr. Bush knows he won't be asked.

Who was the guy who he told to sit down because he wanted TV guys first? Then W asked him if he was a TV wanna be.

...Seriously paraphrased...

You know, you are right. But W called the Richard Kiel guy "Stretch" tonight, remember, and then Kiel with no humor at all said, "I've been called worse." It wasn't a good-natured response, but a defensive, angry sounding one.

Question: are the number of troops in Iraq limiting ou capacity in other areas? Brings up Korean peninsula and the possibility they may have a nuclear misssile that could hit Japan. (Why the troops in South Korea would keep this from happening I don't understand...but I digress.)

Bush says all generals have said no, we are no constrained. Talks about bi-lateral approach not working (Clinton) and says that he felt it was better to get lots of people involved, particularly China. Chinese have been contradicted by Kim Jung Il, and that caught their attention.

Also, I have instructed Sec. Rumsfeld to set up a missile defense system for this exact reason. If Kim has the capacity to launch a weapon, wouldn't it be good to be able to shoot it down?

On the whole I think your media is more respectful than ours on an election program tonight all 3 of our party leaders were verbally pinned to their seats by chairman of the program.

Missile defense system. It would be nice to shoot down a nuclear missle.

Yes...the cabinet of IOU line was great.

That is the best thing about these Pressers that GW holds.
The MSM can't stop the truth from getting out there.

For months....the media has refused to report press releases from the White House that say the same things that the President has said tonight.

They refuse to report when Scotty tells them the same thing in the daily press briefings.

The networks refuse to show Bush out on the SS tour...because he gives the reasons.

The Media does not want the truth of the issue out there.

AND WITH THESE PRIME TIME PRESSERS...THEY CAN'T STOP IT.

Oh. So the MSM loves this president so much they'll share their questioning with him? Now that is absurd.
