At the White House, Pres. Bush holds an evening press confer-ence. The President intends to talk about his Social Security reform plan and his energy plan. He is also likely to get questions on other topics such as the John Bolton nomination, Senate filibuster rules on judicial nomina-tions, House ethics rules, etc.

The jist is that President Bush is not in touch with his base at all by coming on televsion during sweeps to talk about the "YAWNER" Social Security.
OTOH he surely knows that questions about illegal immigration and judicial nominees...the RED HOT issues will be forthcoming.
How should President Bush respond? This Freeper wants to know...because as somebody pointed out, if there is a terrorist attack, illegal immigration will be on the front pages, 24/7.
President Bush's popularity will go into freefall.
I'd rather the press report that he was coming on to talk about the obstructionist Democrats and take the judicial nomineed filibuster to the People...or...tell us he is going to tighten up the borders and get the people here registered asap.
Now, I would want to see THAT instead of The Apprentice tonite.

President Bush's base is "up" about SS reform. We're not here bide time, we're here to fix problems abd get things done, not pass them on!
President Bush has to come out swinging. It always seem that the Dimocrats get away with being stupid, and the White House just turns the other way. I am sick SICK! of it. He needs to BRING THEM DOWN NOW!!!!!!!! These Democrats are CREEPS!!!!! And the President needs to show that!!!!!
The media needs to be treated this way too.
