Why is this breaking news? When I posted links to the live broadcast of Justice Sunday which is far more important and urgent that post was relegated to front page news. Who cares about this besides a few Rush listeners, while virtually everyone is affected by the judges and by Frists participation.

Because it *is* breaking news. I do not know of this Justice Sunday thing or why you believe it's so important.

The Rush case is big news for conservatives and privacy advocates.

Try about 15-20 million listeners a week. Rush has done so much for conservatives. I wonder what your real gripe here is....

I believe that one can contact the Admin Moderator for information regarding this kind of issue.

Rush has, I'm guessing, millions of listeners. I would guess that many here listen to his show daily.

"Who cares about this besides a few Rush listeners.."

Lot's of informed people.

Why do uninformed people open a thread they're not interested in? That's the better question.

I know there are a lot of Freepers who don't like and/or don't agree with Rush, and who think he is a hypocrite for his drug problems... but everyone who does not march in lock-step with the liberal establishment had better think about what is being done to him.

The libs are going after Rush because of his opposing political views and his success in pointing out all their nasty little secrets.

He has not been actually charged with any crime as far as I am aware. The prosecutors are going through his private medical records to try to find a crime to charge him with.

If they get away with it in his case, how long before they start randomly going through people's medical records looking for some potential crime? What's next?

Activists and volunteers are a fickle group of people. They can't be managed like employees in a business.

Employers can say to their teams: "This is our number one priority; We'll focus all our energy on this project." Because employees are paid, and want to keep their jobs, they focus on the project selected by management.

Activists and volunteers are not so easily convinced. They are not "managable", if you will.

This doesn't mean FReepers are an unruly mob, but it does mean that people with a cause have to persuade others gently, first to share their point of view, and then to publically speak out.

So in Activist World there is no such thing as "priorities". There are common causes, shared resources, and collaborations, but there is really no way to demand that everyone support one cause or another. Actually, it's the variety of passions that is the driving force behind people supporting any causes at all.

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.

If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were: any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

---John Donne
