It seems to me that you made the right move!

If you stay involved in school and at home with your kids, they should turn out to be okay!

So far my kids haven't bought in to the BS some of their teachers try to pass on and are independent thinkers!

We as parents are always engaging our kids in discussions and are willing to listen to their opinions about any issue!

They come to us when they heard something in school that doesn't seem right and ask our opinion on the issue and when we confirm their suspicions, they say thats what I thought and how some of their peers blindly buy it!

Thanks.

You are apparently doing an outstanding job with your kids.

Because this is a fairly small county everyone tends to run into everyone else around here. It just so happens that one of my husband and my trivia and beer buddies, who is so far to the right he makes me look like of lib, is the husband of one of our daughter's teachers! And all 3 of their children are in the same school district.

In fact many of the teachers here are actual products of this school district themselves......I think that also has some bearing on how they deal with different things.
