McConnell is the Whip -- and he knows he has the votes. Question is -- will the 'Rats go "all in" on a losing hand, or will they get out while they still can?I missed the c-spam show, but I'm sure enjoying reading this thread. Bump!

Yah, as in "...and to the democracy for which it stands..."
What idiots.

Does it not take 60 votes to cut off debate and have a vote?

Compromise, We don't want compromise....We want an up and down vote.sheesh, how confusing. All we've heard for 2 days is about RAT compromising being offered. Unless of course, they are changing their strategy every minute and a half, which is most certainly happening. LOLOLOLOL!

Hillary is way too quiet in this... Her Mo is to work behind the scene
The only time I really remember her coming on the floor about Judges was back with Estrada and if I recall she brought some Constitutional Professor with her

I wrote here last night that these judges will all pass with 60+ votes...thus totally negating the Dem premise of the minority action. Could be.
It can also happen that there is no DEM objection to taking a confirmation vote. In that case, there would be no need to invoke "the noo-klee-er" option. The DEMs hold the trigger, and may refrain from pulling it.
