To: RadioAstronomer
You would know the composite NASA photograph entitled "Earth at Night." I have a column planned for maybe a month from now which is based on that photograph. It shows a Mercator map of the world, done solely in the lights from cities at night.

Do you know a version of that which is not a bandwidth hog, or a greedy hard disk creature? I hope so, since I need that to send out with my column.

I had that image (it was on FR about 5 years ago) on my old computer as a wallpaper. It was beautiful! I'll try to find it for you...
