Police said a woman paid $11,000 to Ayala toward the purchase of a mobile home. The home was owned by Ayala's live-in boyfriend, and days after the woman moved in she was told to move out because the home loan was in default, a police report said.
Ayala since had moved to Las Vegas and refused to return the woman's money, the report said.
SAN JOSE, Calif.-- High-tech testing and old-fashioned police work convinced San Jose police that a Las Vegas woman who claimed to have found a finger in her Wendy's chili was full of beans.

Andy Diaz, a 66-year-old San Jose City Council candidate, claims he was at the Wendy's during the incident.
He said he saw a woman enter the restroom with a bowl of chili. When she returned to her table, she screamed that a finger was in her food. She and her friends held their stomachs and ran outside.
"She walked out like she was going to puke, but she was faking," Diaz said.

She probably doesn't have any money.
I heard the franchisee on the radio today. He is an older gentleman -- probably sunk his life's savings into this to build a business that would see him through his old age. If I lived up there, I would go to that Wendy's deliberately and get everyone I know to go there just to give the guy some moral support.
I used to work crash recovery when I was in the Air Force...my yuck factor is pretty high too.
I always wondered about the poor people who had to see all that and what a thankless job it would be. I'm thanking you now and God Bless you.
Come to think of it, this con-woman and actors like Sarandon, Streep and Streisand have something in common: they all make a living via acting (fakery) which, essentially, is a con job.
