I'm starting a live thread. Draft is on now. San Francisco is on the clock.
What a contrast between the Viking fans reaction to the Lions fans!
Agree, trade with SD for thier pick and 2nd Rd. --should still be able to get Pollack at SD spot.
Wouldn't surprise me.
Oh, my goodness, another WR--Mike Williams!!!
Cowboys on the clock!!!
Derrick Johnson, welcome to your new career as a Cowboy!!!!
"Lions will probably draft a WR....just kidding...they need a QB"
I posted earlier....
Unbelievable....
You may be right---I am hearing Williams might have picked for a trade later---
Dalls should take Johnson. The question now -- how far does Aaron Rodgers fall? All the way to Washington at 25? Or would they even skip him for Gibbs personal fav Jason Campbell?
Mike Williams!! Who'd a thunk it? Remember the story last week about Mike Williams as a tight end? But even with a one-back set with Jones, having Roy William, Mike Williams, and Charles Rogers at the side-outs is unbelievable! Given Rogers history, good injury insurance as well.
I have the TV on mute with Closed captioning and am listening to a Dallas radio station that has TERRIFIC draft coverage all day today and all day tomorrow....
He might want to get something to eat because he could be waiting for a while.
I think (unless there's a trade) this shows some confidence in the Lions young linebackers(Lehman, Alex Lewis) and D-lineman(Edwards, Redding).
We certainly need to go D-line or Corner in the 2nd round.
The Skins have no. 23. It looks like GB is at 24. ould it be Rodgers and Campbell back to back?
Congratulations.
I thought you guys had a good draft last year. This one is off to a pretty good start.
Remember the 94 Draft? Johnnie Morton was picked despite having Herman Moore and Bret Perriman. Lions ran a 3 back office.
Of course, I said the same thing about Steven Jackson last year...:)
I'm hearing Merriman, Spears, or Ware for Boys BEFORE they would take Derrick Johnson...so you might be disappointed,
unless they trade down....don't put it past the Cowboys to trade 11 for some lower picks!
That was surprising at the time but now it looks like Dallas may have made the right move.
