Ping!

I am pinging this article because it may reveal a new direction the Catholic Church may be taking with Pope Benedict VIX.

"After stating that 'moral force has not grown apace with the development of science but, on the contrary, has diminished,' Cardinal Ratzinger explained that 'the most serious danger at this time is precisely the imbalance between technical possibilities and moral energy.'"

As a life long Lutheran (LCMS) I can tell you the Catholics have a leader with more intestinal fortitude than a good many Lutheran politicians. All of history will come down to the ultimate question: "What do you think of Jesus?" The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, speak clearly to all concerning Him. "My sheep hear My voice."

I would hope that dealing with the obvious is not a "new direction" for any church.
