OK..here's what we know..Senate is in recess for the weekly party caucus luncheons. Supposed to resume at 2:15. on C-span 2.. The Foreign Relations committee is supposed to meet at 2:45 to vote on the Bolton nomination. Lugar has refused requests for a delay. Just before the Senate recessed, Reid objected to Frist's UC request for the Froeign Relations committee to meet today. Frist withdrew his request..

I'm from Indiana and I've never heard of our Senator Lugar showing a spine, sorry, I can't believe it. He's usually worried about "offending" someone, he sent me a sign-up for his 2006 Senate nomination last week, I threw it away.
I'm not working or contributing to the Repubs again until they start acting like the majority party.

I just saw the procedural vote, 10-8, not to go into closed session as proposed by Senator Biden. Chairman Luger is clearly anticipating and willing to act to prevent a filibuster in the Committee.
It is now clear that the vote will be 10-8 in favor of John Bolton, and all we will here now is crocodile tears from "you folks" as the esteemed Senator Kerry just accused. This is a winner for the Republicans, and it will happen before the scheduled time of 5 p.m.
Pop a cold beer, cook some popcorn, and enjoy the fun.
