Actually, I've heard that other religions say the same thing...if you're not born again, you won't be saved, if you're not this or that, etc.. God will sort us out no matter what.

It's not other denominations that created the "born again" stipulation -- Jesus Himself said that.

John 3:3 In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

God will sort us out no matter what.
