..."Truly, some very interesting ideas right up until the part about "rapture." If anyone is arrogant enough to think they are going to ascend into Heaven without dying - without paying the just wages of sin - then they need to lay off the sauce, in my opinion...."
Which is why my position has always been to pray and hope that there IS something on the horizon commonly referred to as the 'Rapture', but live your life as if you're going to be right here on Planet Earth until you take that permanent dirt nap.

I think the Cardinal knows some things that are true.
Kathleen Keating's website used to have a pic--may still--of the purported Anti-Christ.

I think Cardianl Biffi really is a long-shot.
At the moment, I'm thinking Cardinal Arinze is the rising star. Did you know he has ties to NC? Arinze's nephew, Niki, played basketball at Wake Forest and the Cardinal spoke at WFU's 1999 commencement.

Were we to confine our diet to creatures that lack sense and do not even respond to light, we could only eat liturgists and liberal Democrats. LOL!

In his epistles and the book of Revelation, the apostle John made it clear that many people would come along in the spirit of antichrist. But there will come a day when one world leader will rise to power who will be the embodiment of evil, one who is empowered and directed by the devil himself.
This post, too, as a follow up is interesting to read. The passage above "many people would come along in the spirit of the antichrist" tends to support my non-theological, unresearched, purely anecdotal theory that every generation faces a "end-times" scenario.

Hitler may have been an Anti-Christ.Satan like man does not know the time or the hour of Christ return. Therefore he must raise an Anti-Christ in every generation. I don't know if that makes me feel better or worse.

I don't think Soros is a spiritual person. He worships MONEY, and, besides, it has to be someone who is well-liked. I don't think he fits. I do think the anti-Christ is alive, though. I agree with Biffi.

I thought of that, too, but I believe he is going to come out of the Middle East.

Very interesting... Soros would fit the description well but so would many others; even Bill Gates would in my estimation. The thing is that I think we've got a ways to go. But no one know when these things will unfold. Good post - it's always cool to see what these guys think.

That is HYSTERICAL. Love it - Biffy is Spiffy! Vote for him in a Jiffy!
To: SittinYonder; Blessed
Blessed made a good point in about post# 95 that since not even Satan knows the day or time of Christ's return, there is an anti-christ for every generation, ie Hitler.
