I see you found that one of Beezie too. Its lovely you can see her face so well. I think the President is trying to take over with her like he did with Barney - I wonder if Laura will let him LOL.

I know a bit how you feel about being harassed to do something especially if it is all in hand and you are doing it your way.

I get really uptight with my boss at work over this. I have been doing similar work for over 24 years and I reckon I know it pretty well and the best way to do it. If however he sees parcels ready to go on the side for a few hours he gives me grief about it asking when will I get rid of them. I challenge him and he admits that he knows I will do it within the required time but it is just his way. I point out that it does not sit well with me and does not help making me more co-operative but his answer is "that me and I will not change".

I used to hold this against him and I still get irritated and sometimes rise to the bait but most of the time I can just accept that it is just his way. He can be very kind like he insisted I went home last week with a sore throat early part of the week and then when I fell over he drove me home neither of which he had to do and neither of which, the way it works in our company, would he have been held responsible for.

I suspect as Mike says your mother does love you but has a hard time of showing it. Is this the same with your brothers? If not maybe she has a problem relating to girls both as children and and young adults maybe she sees too much of herself in you and does not like what she sees and is desperately trying to ensure that you do not turn out like her. I suspect she does not know how to deal with it in a positive way and therefore it always sound negative what she says to you.

She may also have a problem with things/people that in her eyes that are not perfect and she may feel because of what has happened with you that reflects badly on her.

IMHO and someone who obviously does not know or even meet you or your mother I think in her own way she is struggling with her feelings and emotions for you and does not know how to cope.

It must be very hard for a mother to sit back and see you suffer and maybe she is doing the classic pull your socks up thing which I know from experience with a family member with who has your problems it does not work. I would suspect she has done this to you all your life and you just do not respond to it mainly because of your other problems.

Do not think I am giving your mother a pass I am not she should learn how to deal with you but I think again (obviously just summation on my part) a lot of this is to do with fear and not being able to help you which probably goes way back to your childhood.

God bless you and keep you strong show love to your mother if not by word or affection as this maybe too hard at present but in the things you do or do not do then maybe one day she will respond and tell you her problems of dealing with you.

Take care love
Eleanor

Well howdy, stranger! Haven't seen you in a while. Hope everything is going well.

And yes my fack is red--whenever I see Ann Coulter my fack becomes intensely red :-D

I loved your AF1 "door" caption!!!

And I didn't know the Nationals gave the President a jacket with "43" on it. I guess he either gets "1" or "43", doesn't he?

I'm still excited about the Nationals game, and there's another one tonight. Will you be at this one, too, Mike?

Back just before the end of the year, I thought that Councilwoman had taken control and that Mayor Williams wasn't going to be able to work through the money part of the stadium and profit-sharing for the City, (and all of the other myriad stumbling blocks she came up with) but he persevered, and here we are - baseball back in DC.

I can only wonder what the owner of the Orioles was thinking when he saw 43,000 people at RFK Stadium in Thursday night. He was afraid of "fan drain" from the Orioles. Camden Yard is a zoo to get in and out of, even if you take public transportation.

It's a great weekend for DC.

And wouldn't it be great if the Nationals won the NL East and then the World Series, their first season here in DC??!! The fans would go nuts!!!!

I am so happy to read that you have found a full-time paying position.

And welcome back. We've missed you. Ok, I've missed you.

You say that you wished that you had asked your youth leader more questions a long time ago. There are so many people I have known that I wish I had asked more questions. When I was younger I was curious but I did not know what questions to ask. I knew all four grandparents but there are numerous questions I now realize I could have asked them but did not. However, when I tell stories to my grandchildren who are now of middle school to college age, they do not seem terribly interested, and perhaps that is the way I seemed to my grandparents.

Couldn't get to the Dose until this morning and what a way to start off my day. You always have great pictures and being new to FR, I see most pictures for the first time! Thank you very much!

Half a bottle of this and she will need a stomach pump :-)

But she won't be coughing.

But the good thing is, she'll be too drowsy to care, one way or the other!

I think the difference is that Ny-Quil has alcohol in it, snugs. That's what knocks ya out! You don't care anymore if you are coughing or not because you are happily asleep!! LOL!

Thanks for asking. Please don't stop praying.

It's been a long, very slow recovery, and I'm still so impatient that my stamina gives out before the list of "to do's" for the day does!! It wasn't like this before I was Hospitalized.

I also have incredible back pain, which I also didn't have before. Frankly, I'm having a difficult time adjusting to being disabled. I so want to do the things I was doing when I was taken off to the Hospital and I guess, I don't understand why I can't.

Thanks for the prayers. I can't imagine how I'd be if Dosers weren't praying for me.

I answered your question in #134.

Now, I'm off to give this back of mine a rest. It hates this chair I sit in here, but I've actually made it to the end of a Dose in one sitting!

Have a great day, snugs.

You will gradually get better. I do as much as I can and then rest and then do some more work. And now I am surprised at how much more I can do now than I could a few months ago, so I know you will get better in time too. And I will continue to include you in my prayers.

Good morning, snugs (morning, Pacific time). I was just getting ready to prepare today's Dose when I checked my pings. This is a WONDERFUL photo of Beezie and the first couple. Thanks so much for finding it. If it's OK with you, I'm going to put it on today's dose also.

We have INCOME tax, not value added tax.

Anyone with an earned income...ALL wage earners must file if they make over say $7000 single or $15,000 married (U.S. dollars).

We are trying hard to change this, but the Democrats are fighting us, as they like having their hand in everyone's pocket.
