Sauerkraut...MMMmmmmmmm.
We have a german restaurant here run by a couple from Berlin. They had a Schnell Imbiss at the S-Bahn stop about a half-mile from our quarters when we were stationed there.
Their sauerkraut is to die for, the schnitzel and spatzle are the best I've had since Munich, and her fresh cakes are out of this world.
Kinda makes me think about going back overseas...
Oh, Hi! Stop talking about it! I have missed the real thing ever since coming back so long ago and I just don't know when I'll ever get back over there. Where were you stationed? My hubby was at Wurzburg. Beautiful city! Wonderful food! I haven't found one place here that can do it justice!
