"Marathon pipe bomb was 'remote controlled'"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Thousands of runners had to be re-routed following yesterday`s bomb attack.

No-one has claimed responsibility for planting the device.

Yesterday police described it as a sophisticated pipe bomb-type device which could have killed or maimed had it exploded.

The top competitors ran past the bomb, which had been planted at Gideon`s Corner, before the alarm was raised."
