ARTICLE SNIPPET: "WASHINGTON (AP) - DNA evidence led to the arrest Wednesday of a Washington man in connection with more than 40 fires that have kept many in the capital area on edge the past two years, authorities said.
Thomas Sweatt, 50, a fast food store manager, faces multiple charges in connection with arsons in the district, suburban Maryland and northern Virginia.
A break in the investigation came last week after DNA samples extracted from a pair of U.S, Marine Corps dress-blue slacks was analyzed, authorities said."

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "OKLAHOMA CITY — A 21-year-old Washington state man was convicted yesterday in the April 2004 fire bombing of a Jewish temple in Oklahoma City.
A federal jury found Sean Gillespie, 21, of Spokane guilty of three bombing charges for hurling a Molotov cocktail at Temple B'Nai Israel on April 1, 2004.
Prosecutors showed jurors two videotapes, including one from a surveillance camera at the temple that showed a person attacking the synagogue with a fire bomb.
Prosecutors said the other videotape was found in Gillespie's truck and showed him plotting his attack. In that tape, Gillespie said, "I'm going to firebomb [the temple] with a Molotov cocktail. I will film it for your viewing enjoyment, my kindred. White power.""
