If that is the case, then FR is also out of touch.
The writer mentions his support for guest worker plans.
A recent poll of FR members show support of guest worker plans at over 2 to 1. 60% for and 28% opposed.
FR is a far right website and functions as an internet center of the anti immigrant crowd. It is safe to say, given the support at FR, that support of guest worker plans amongst the general population would be at 5, 6, or 7 to 1.
How many times must it be pointed out that we're objecting to ILLEGAL immigrants? Keep trying to frame it as an anti-immigrant bias if you want, but we both know that's just an attempt to spin this issue and demonize the anti-ILLEGAL immigrant crowd. A legit guest worker program would be OK with me, far-right-winger that I am, but not the version proposed by GWB. He wants to create a job magnet that would draw people here, but have no enforceable way to get them to go home again when their time is up.
A guest worker is here legally. I have no problem with that. My problem is with the illegals.

Cute.
It's anti-ILLEGAL immigrants and it's been stated over and over by myself and many others.
Such taunts are silly if that was your intent. You have valid arguments on your side.
For example, on the substantive side you state that "support of guest worker plans amongst the general population would be at 5, 6, or 7 to 1."
I disagree. My informal polling among people I meet reveals that a majority are aware of the costs (health care, crime, and education and even greater terrorists threats) of ILLEGAL immigration.
Maybe the majority would accept a guest worker plan if those costs could be covered without passing them on to taxpayers. Crime and terrorists threats of course would have to stopped, period.
Naturally, if employers paid for the subsidized "cheap" labor the taxpayer would still be paying the costs through higher prices but we'd have a choice to not pay that price and do without. You don't have that choice with taxes.
Your interpretation of this poll is tortured, at best.

I would approve of a guest worker plan similar to Tancredo's | 14.5% | 688
Immigration from Mexico should not be allowed under any circumstances | 9.8% | 465
I approve of the president's guest worker plan as is or with minor changes | 8.7% | 412
I might approve of a compromise guest worker program with some of Tancredo's ideas incorporated | 8.0% | 378

"FR is a far right website and functions as an internet center of the anti immigrant crowd."
Anti ILLEGAL ILLEGAL say it 100 times illegal illegal
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION Tell the truth Ben, I know you can one in a while. ILLEGAL immigration, Ben
c'mon Ben, If FR is so "right wing" why don't you leave, so we can increase FR's mean average IQ.
Thank you for outing yourself and making it clear to all who read this thread, who has chosen to stand alongside the criminal aliens, Vincente Fox, Aztlan, La Raza, MEChA, MALDEF, ACLU, LULAC and the international terrorist gang MS-13, versus those who stand ready to defend American sovereignty and secure our borders from invasion.

You quote a poorly worded poll which was quickly replaced with a better worded poll.
Here are the results from a more relevant poll:
Which of the following is the best way to solve the illegal immigration problem?Seal and militarize the borders.....49.3% 2,882
Beef up and enforce existing law....35.3% 2,064
Some form of guest worker program...10.5% 615
Other................................3.0% 174
Undecided/Pass.......................1.9% 113
These poll results put to a lie your assertions that FR members support guest worker plans 2 to 1. In fact, these results demonstrate that FR members OPPOSE guest worker plans by an 8 to 1 margin.
If you are as selective with your "facts" gleened from FR polls as you are with your "facts" gleened from other sources, then you have utterly no crediblity here. Your agenda is exposed as is your blatant dishonesty.
