I think the same things.
First of all if it were my son I could never be mean to him and treat him that way. To disrespect his new wife is to disrespect him. Doesn't LOVE mean anything to her? Didn't she hurt her son already in choosing his bride for him? These people are over the edge.
Charles and Camilla should have married a long time ago without the interference of the Queen Mother. Life is short and some people NEVER find their true love. Charles has it and has to give it up in order to have an heir to the throne.
Unfortunately, Charles never had the strength that "Edward, the Uncrowned King" had. He truly gave up everything including the Crown for the woman he loved. He chose correctly and I admired him for it.
Anyway it's over and I hope people will drop it now. As for Camilla, I too think she can overlook the ignorance and stupidity of the rest of the royals. She did after all win her prince and...dont' think she ever lost him during those years he was with Diana. Don't get me wrong, I liked Diana...she was the most westernized of everyone but...she too admitted "cheating" so...there are no saints in this situation.
Good luck and best of everything to Charles and Camilla.
A lot of the antagonizm would be dropped if he would renounce his aspirations to the throne. I don't know if he could make his son Prince of Wales, but if he resigned, her Majesty sure as heck could.

Unfortunately we are dealing with the British royal family, and they do put duty and obligations above personal gratifications to the extreme. "Family" always goes in front of "family" and I think the Queen is the perfect embidoment of this sentiment. I feel that she is professional and work with diligence as far as her public duties are concerned.
In a sense I feel the Queen is probably more impersonal than her father George VI or even Queen Victoria - they all have personal entertainments while it seems the current Queen is all business. I don't like it personally, but perhaps this is a very old-fashioned British notion of dedication to duty that has no equivalence in America or other countries.
