Prayers for TexasCowboy!
TexasCowboy has been using his hip injury as an excuse to prevent his friends from shooting his new riot gun.
Well some of us offered to take a look at it for him and he decided both a proffesional and sober opinion might make more sense.
So he found a coupon and now he is going to let some old saw-bones cut on him.
Probably a better idea than letting us do it, but a few folks feelings are still hurt!
Please all say a prayer for our Cowboy that he is back in the saddle again real soon.

If you're still over there in the land of sand and scorpions, get back here! I need a hug! I'm still in that place, but in the paved, date-palm-lined middle of the capital city now. I've gone cosmpolitan - no longer a desert dweller. HAHA
Giving you a hug will be right at the top of my agenda the next time I'm stateside. Count on it!
Love you, TC.

Thanks for the ping, Tonk.
Good morning, Cowboy. It's so good to get these updates. You are in our thoughts and prayers. I know that with God's help, you will beat this demon.
A Cowboy's Guide to Life
1. Don't squat with your spurs on.
2. Don't interfere with something that ain't bothering you none.
3. If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging.
4. Always drink upstream from the herd.
5. Telling a man to git and making him do it are two entirely different propositions.
6. When you give a personal lesson in meanness to a critter or to a person don't be surprised if they learn their lesson.
7. If you're riding ahead of the herd, take a look back every now and then to make sure it's still back there.
8. The quickest way to double your money is to fold it over and put it back in your pocket.
9. If you get to thinking you're a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else's dog around.
10. And never, ever, miss a good opportunity to shut up.

Beautiful .. just beautiful, Mayor ... THANK YOU! The Mayor's reading reminds me of something that I treasure and keep on my refrigerator as a reminder of the BIG picture ..it's from Mother Theresa:
Anyway
People are often unreasonable, illogical or self-centered, forgive them anyway.
If you are successful, you will be sure to make some false friends and some true enemies. Be successful anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you. Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy over night. Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, others may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today people will often forget tomorrow. Be good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be good enough. Give the world the best youve got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.
======================================================
You are a living example of this golden reminder, TC.
Enjoy these quieter "off" days.. rest up and think happy thoughts, TC!! Hugs and Prayers !
=====================================================
One day a man passed by a farm and saw a beautiful horse. Hoping to buy the animal, he said to the farmer: "I think your horse looks pretty good, so I'll give you $500 for him." "He doesn't look so good, and he's not for sale," the farmer said. The man insisted, "I think he looks just fine and I'll up the price to $1,000." "He doesn't look so good," the farmer said, "but if you want him that much, he's yours." The next day the man came back raging mad. He went up to the farmer and screamed, "You sold me a blind horse. You cheated me!"
The farmer calmly replied, "I told you he didn't look so good, didn't I?"

I've made several trips to Texas but have never been to Rock Island, Texas.
It will be wonderful to get another hug from our Cowboy.
