No, I'm not pulling your leg. But your apparent disbelief that I could hold this opinion is rather telling, since it shows you can only consider a very narrow range of possible scenarios.

Didn't you infer anything from the educational progression I discussed earlier? In our case, it was never about money, and it was ALWAYS about trying to provide the best education. We have never abdicated our role as primary educators of our children, and instillers of values. Perhaps if I were the one to stay at home, homeschooling might have been an option for longer (not that I don't put in at least an hour a day supplementing the school instruction) - but since I need to be the breadwinner, that wasn't really plausible. It's not really your business exactly why, but my wife did it for as long as she could, then we put them in a private Christian school, where she still stayed involved.

When we started running into academic roadblocks there, we looked into a number of other schools, public and private, decided on one particular public school, moved into that district, and I have again stayed involved at the school. In short, I'm pretty comfortable with having lived up to the standard set by Proverbs. I'm sorry you don't agree - but then again, you don't need to.

The "data" you have is most likely less than impressive to anyone who actually understands statistics. But even if it is as you say it is because of the difference in input to the educational process.

Are you shocked that children with two concerned parents deeply involved in their lives turn out better prepared for life than those with a crack ho for a mom and no dad in sight?

Another Democrat voter that is being profiled for no apparent reason at all. The Teachers Union and the ACLU will be on the case in no time flat. Then pack up the car and move to Kentucky. It is more important that children be raised in a family environment with one parent at home, then to be able to go to the beach each day.

Once past a certain age, kids should be in social environments with other kids. It is unhealthy for kids to contantly spend their time with adults.

Any married couple can make it on a husband's income if so inclined. I would challenge you to give me one example of a family where the father is both sane and not severely handicapped that absolutely cannot survive on his income.

and going to the BR with little brother or sister in the room is NOT the same as having them do it in front of relative strangers....

every child knows , if taught properly, that bathroom activities are private, not a social event....

kids at home don't gather around the john to watch each other, why on earth is this encouraged among kids not even related to one another....

I am sure there has been no permanent harm done here, but I can't see defending this for anything other than what it is......a idiotic and unthinking action probably because the teacher didn't want to be inconvenienced....
