Without Mary there would be no Jesus... She definitely deserves our thanks for accepting God's will in her life. She serves as an excellent example of living your life according to His will and not our own. Today's unmarried parents would do well to remember the story of Joseph and Mary. Mary is an integral part of the story of Jesus' life and death. IMHO it is a sin to ignore her and her contribution to God's plan!
