Yes, those veils are traditional in Italy.

They used to be here too. I remember when I was a kid you could always tell who the Catholic ladies were when they opened their pocketbooks. The first think you saw was their veil and rosary.

LOL.....once when I was young I forget my veil for Mass....My mom made me wear a kleenex through the whole Mass that she found in her purse...

Somewhere in a box, I have mine, veil, from Catholic School. As we attended mass every morning under the scrutiny of nuns, one was best not to forget your little veil for your head.
