The story doesn't say what set these dogs off. The child knew them since they were puppies. Maybe it was a territorial response or something. First though, they'll try to eliminate rabies.

The story doesn't say what set these dogs off. Their inbred killer nature set them off. They don't need an excuse, as the owners of these dangerous animals find out periodically.
