I had sworn off boats 10 years ago. When we got LulaBelle, I bought Boston Whaler Sport 130. She loves to ride and swim, swim and ride, ride and swim. Retrieve and swim and ride.

My husband had a black lab when we were in the Air Force. It was his dog and the dog knew it. It was a big male that I couldn't control. My husband was gone alot and I got stuck trying to deal with the dog. My husband went TDY (temporary duty away) for 8 weeks, when he came back he asked me, "where's Fadango?" I got a blank look on my face and said, "Who is Fadango?" He said, "the dog." I said, "what dog?" I know he wants another one; I think the pick-up, the canoe and the kids are his method of getting one again. Now that he isn't gone all the time it would be okay, probably; but don't tell him that! :)

We had a little 14 foot Mirrocraft with a 9.9 horse Mercury outboard when we lived in Prior Lake. When the ice began to go out, my son and Jake would sit at the front and I would steer from the back via the tiller. One day, with snow piled on ice still floating, my son called out "hamburger at 2 o'clock." Sure enough, it did look like a burger stuck in the snow, but as we got closer it became clear that it was a man's wallet, lost the past winter.
The wallet had $20, a drivers license and credit cards. We called the guy and he came down to claim our "find." He said he'd lost the wallet while snowmobiling...
