I should add that my point in this is not some kind of triumphalism, but merely to point out the utter invalidity of this poll. What "self-identified Catholics" think about the teaching of the Church is not really very useful to know.

What "self-identified Catholics" think about the teaching of the Church is not really very useful to know. It is useful to know insofar as to determine how effective or ineffective those who charged with imparting the teaching of the Church have been.
