Watching FOX News right now. A few minutes ago they
were showing that the Pope's body was out for viewing now. They have him on again now.
He looks so peaceful.

Thus passes the glory of the world.

That's what I thought; what I was unclear on is whether that was a slam or a kudos.
I did not want the thread polluted by Catholic bashing and thankfully, to this point, it has not been.

He was against abortion and he was against the murder of Terri. I am grateful. He was beloved.

Oh, you people are wonderful!! I hope this resolves all the problems the image host was having with the bandwidth use. I know you had to "scrunch" it up a bit, due to space allotment in the "Body of Thread" section, and that changed the location of the breaks, and number of breaks for paragraphs, etc. But at least it is all there.
And I doubt that the image host I used will have a problem with the bandwidth now that some of the images have been removed or replaced with smaller ones. Thanks again! Thanks for everything! CitizenM

He was against abortion and he was against the murder of Terri. I am grateful. He was beloved. Let us be clear. It is not a matter of what he is "for" or "against."That is how the MSM and so-called reformers spin it.
He held and defended the doctrines and dogmas of the Catholic Church.

Transitional Pope: meaning ..... Sorry, I didn't express myself very well.
I understand the strict meaning of the words .... what I don't understand is what is to be gained? Seems to me to be a senseless waste of time and fraught with unintended consequences.

This is turning out to be a great thread, love all the pictures.
Hey everyone I just had a thought, the Pope's funeral will also be a meeting of the TRUE United Nations. Just think all the world leaders who respected him and his ideals will be there, not a bunch of third world dictators. The leaders who respected him will come together to honor him, what an assembly that will be!!

So passes a great, gentle warrior of the West. My deepest sympathies to my Roman Catholic friends. May his memory be eternal.

I haven't a clue what you are talking about with "bandwidths" and "j-pegs"--I am a barely-literate computer grandmother! :) I can't begin to imagine how you went about putting everything together but from reading the posts I see someone has come to the rescue so your work will not be lost.
As I finished reading nearly all of every last post it occurred to me that in every photograph of Pope John II, he carries such an air of sweet humility along with a definite aura of greatness--what an incredible Blessing from God.
