Terri Schiavo Cremated Amid Family Feud
Saturday, April 02, 2005
TAMPA, Fla. Terri Schiavo's body was cremated Saturday as disagreements continued between her husband and her parents, who were unable to have their own independent expert observe her autopsy.
The cremation was carried out according to a court order issued Tuesday establishing that Michael Schiavo () had the right to make such decisions, said his lawyer, George Felos. He said plans for burying her ashes in Pennsylvania, where she grew up, had not yet been completed.
Terri Schiavo's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, had wanted to bury their daughter in Pinellas County so they could visit her grave.
Terri Schiavo, 41, died Thursday after the removal of the feeding tube that had kept her alive since 1990, when she suffered brain damage that court-appointed doctors determined had placed her in a persistent vegetative state (). Her parents had fought in court to keep her alive, disputing the doctors' opinions and saying there was hope of improvement.
If people break the law and murder somebody through lies and deceit which they clearly did, then they should be punished by the laws of the land. Yes, God will punish them, too, but they also have to face the music here on earth.
"You need to understand an autopsy is only to establish cause of death, it would not look at other issues such as abuse."
I beg to differ. The autopsy first is and examination, collection archival material and documentation of the body. Once this is done the cause of death is deduced from the evidence gathered and added together.
Do a google search of autopsy steps. Some of the sites are not for the faint of heart but do include usful info on the procedure.
Oh please! Gag me with a spoon!
"Imaging records can be established quickly and the cadaver is no longer required."
Let the search for the possesion of Photoshop by the medical examiner begin. LOL
"there are a lot of non-conservative posts on this thread."
Curious. What's a conservative post?
"You would of thought someone would of stepped in to protect the integrity of that autopsy."
Isn't that what the coroner / medical examiner does?
Probably the same reason nobody will be punished for Terri's murder.
Here is additional testimony to back you up.
16 Q Then you go on to say, "And the activity 17 in L1 correlates perfectly with the compression 18 fracture which is presumably traumatic." 19 A That's what it says. 20 Q In other words, the x-ray confirmed the 21 L1 fracture? 22 A The x-ray shows an abnormality at L1 23 which happens to correspond with the abnormal bone 24 turnover on the bone scan at that point. 25 Q What is a compression fracture? ? 26 1 A It's a loss of the mechanical structure 2 of the vertebral body along what we call the end 3 plates of the vertebral body. And the end plates 4 are those portions that are adjacent to the 5 cartilages that separate each vertebral body, the 6 cartilages being the body's shock absorbers. 7 Q Is this compression fracture, then, in 8 common parlance, a broken back? 9 A Yes. 10 Q Is there any way to tell how old that 11 fracture would be? 12 A Well, as I've alluded to, the bone scan 13 gives some suggestion of that. 14 Q More recent rather than less recent? 15 A Correct. Typically in trauma the rule of 16 thumb is that a traumatic fracture is not active on 17 the bone scan after 12 to 18 months. That's the 18 typical rule of thumb. Now, bodies being very 19 variable, there's a lot of variation there, but 20 that's the typical rule of thumb. So if a fracture 21 shows up active on the bone scan, then one makes the 22 presumption that it is relatively recent; i.e., 23 within 18 months.
I need some coffee now, to think this out more.
"If he really did care for her, he would have put her in a facility where she could have received rehabilitation, not a hospice where one goes to die (usually in less than 1 years time.)"
Can someone who thinks she was ill treated/neglected or somehow harmed by the medical treatment she received explain how her heart kept beating two weeks after she was removed from the feeding tube? Does that make sense?
"Also, I he really cared for her, he would not have committed adultry and fathered several children with another woman."
"George J. Felos said that Terri approved of Michael finding another woman because she always wanted him to be happy."
And what of those who warmly embraced Jessie Jackson who committed adultry and fathered a child out of wedlock?
He was for Terri so it's ok?
Terri had the will to live -- which resulted in this Judicial Murder Atrocity.
Exd 20:13
Deu 5:17
Mat 25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
Mat 25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Mat 25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Mat 25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did [it] not to one of the least of these, ye did [it] not to me.
Go Diogenesis!
GREER DID NOT EVEN TAKE THE OATH OF OFFICE!
Jesse Jackson admitted he was a sinner and recieved forgiveness from his wife.
Michael Schiavo got rid of his.
Those putative autopsy photos of Terri (above).thoughts?
