any chance you can go away???

I didn't accuse you of that, did I? There was a place for people to question and argue--in the form of a new thread--particularly if they wanted to debate, and then kind of keep these threads, you know, ones entitled like this one here, "Pope John Paul II is *NOT* Dead (FOX Now reporting Heart/Brain still functioning)" a bit away from narrow doctrinal disputes and questions--which have nothing to do with this thread's title and thread, and simply let people alone who love the Pope be they Catholic or not, just remember him and commemorate him without debate or arguing. That is all I intended. Questions are fine, perfectly fine. Let's create a place for questions, and debate and arguing, then, over there, away from these kinds of thread. I thought that would have been a common courtesy at the least.

Malachy says there are two Popes left. If he is wrong, he was a false prophet. I bet he is wrong anyway, as special revelation ceased with the completion of the Canon.

I would agree, but find it interesting nonetheless that such would be eliminated. Alas, it matters not as heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word of God will stand forever.

In the meantime, we are all sedevacantists, right?
Well, there are some fringe groups who think they have someone else who is the "true pope."
I'm not being disrespectful, so don't get me wrong. I'm just stating facts and asking questions. They killed Socrates for doing the same thing, if you recall.

For me it was the legacy of him being Polish. All four of my grandparents came from a village outside Krakow, very close to the village our Pope came from. Three of them never lived to see him become Pope, I wish they had, so we carry it on with Polish pride

Can anyone tell me for sure if the Pope is dead or not? This is getting old!
To: rwfromkansas
Would that be the Canon established by the Catholic Church?

Trying to keep this thread dedicated to Pope John Paul II, please honor request, thanks....

Maybe you are right. I was just trying to be helpful. Maybe I've done more bad than good. I would hope people would remove narrow and out-of-place debate and argumentation over Catholic doctrine on this day of all days, to other FR threads, though, and kind of let these other threads honor the Pope in sincerity, good manners and common courtesy.

2 Timothy 4:5 -- But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
2 Ti 4:6 -- For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
2Ti 4:7 -- I have fought a good fight, I have finished [my] course, I have kept the faith:
2Ti 4:8 -- Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Why would it matter? Those who hate him or the RC church will continue on anyway. Seems to me that this pope would want only the truth to be the released....not some fiction to satisfy the whim of a calendar.
To: shhrubbery!
Oddly EWTN is still running a crawl stating that the Vatican denies this. Now the crawl has changed to confirm the death.
The program now running on EWTN is an "Ascension rosary for the Holy Father AND Terri Schiavo."
Ah, Sean Hannity now has Raymond Arroyo coming on radio show.
To: Eternally-Optimistic
Do you have a link? It probably deserves a new thread.

There will be two more Popes. The last will be the Anti-Christ.
