The order directly prohibited any attempt at hydrating her naturally. By mouth. I'm sorry, but it simply doesn't say that.
It is further ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that absent a stay from the appellate courts, the guardian, MICHAEL SCHIAVO, shall cause the removal of Nutrition and hydration from the ward, THERESA SCHIAVO, at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2005.
The law, as amended in 1999 allows the withdrawal of life-prolonging procedures from those in a permanent vegetative state.
Look, the law's a mess, no doubt about it. But judges are not the ones to fix broken laws - thank the Florida legislature for the current state of affairs here.

I'm sorry, but it simply doesn't say that. What does it say? I don't see anything that limits it to artificial food and hydration. The absense of any qualifier would seem to suggest 'all', especially since Greer refused a motion to allow natural feeding and hydration.

He wrote another order....guess you haven't read them all....have you!

Explain the cop standing by the bed, with the intention of preventing any attempt to give her hydration by mouth. You argument rings hollow. The order said 'removal of..." it did not stipulate artificial.

Since when does a probate judge get to issue death warrants in the United States of America? Especially on helpless citizens who have never even been charged with a crime...
Since when can any judge overrule the most fundamental and important principle of our republic?

Well, someone had the authority .. because an armed guard was stationed at Terri's head to make sure her mother didn't commit the dastardly crime of giving her thirsting mouth an ice chip, even to the extent that, when her priest was delivering Holy Communion in the form of sacramental wine, the armed GUARD (I'm fighting not to write the name I'm saying with disgust!!!!!) put his hand ON THE PRIEST'S HAND TO ENSURE THIS!! This is America???

But judges are not the ones to fix broken laws OH? Massachusetts Supreme Court sure thinks it has the power to order that a law be "fixed" or else. No other court seems to be arguing with them.
