I just find it hard to believe that after many many years of marriage end of life issues were never discussed beyond this.

What do you consider many years? They were married for five years when Terri suffered cardiac arrest. To me, that isn't that long and they were very young at the time. My ex-husband and I never discussed those issues when we were in our early 20's. It didn't cross either of our minds that we might end up in a situation like that. My second husband and I have discussed it in detail because I'm 38 and he's 41 and we are much more aware of our mortality than we were when we were in our 20's.

This is an excellent point.

I suspect that "Living" Wills shall now become a standard form along with pre-nups for couples intending to marry "til death do us part".

Agreed, SS -- that was a weak and unrealistic argument. Who, in their early 20's is even talking about these issues, except in isolated situations in casual conversation??. I never had or heard one such discussion in my 20's. Not saying that's smart, but it's the typical reality.

For Clorinox to conveniently leave out that this memory of that wish just coincidentally occurred to the GINO (guardian in name only) SEVEN YEARS AFTER THE INCIDENT AND AFTER THE LAWSUIT AWARD, wherein said GINO had stated in court that the funds were so that he could "take care of his wife for the rest of his life," indicates the extreme lack of knowledge of this case in his possession.

This Mother's child will never be forgotten. Bless you, sweet Terri .. you are surrounded by the Angels, comforted and free of pain in the embrace of Our Dear Lord and Father. Lord, heal the bleeding hearts of Terri's beloved and devoted family.
