My father and I were watching the news, and I believe we were watching an item about the genocide in Darfur and how the UN was pussyfooting around it. My father said something which stuck with me - "I wonder sometimes when God is finally going to lose patience with us". I wonder that myself.

Your father raised a terrible point. Abraham Lincoln echoed what Thomas Jefferson first said in that regard. "I tremble [for America] when I consider that God is just."
