A column in the WSJ recently mentioned a study finding that, in the majority of cases, living wills are not followed. If the doctor and family agree that something else is better (not necessarily evil -- circumstances change, unforeseen things happen), there's no reason for it to go to court. He recommends something like a durable power of attorney vested in someone you trust.
Been there, done that.
See post 358 and post 920. The Dummies are in fine form today.
"The Bushes did all they could. As Mark Levin said what did you expect them to do? Storm in and grab her. That is not how the laws work."
Well said!
Sometimes in a war, one must accept that a battle is lost and plan for the next.
They are saving political capital for getting rid of the out-of-control judges --- that is the real war.
These judges sanction killing babies, gay-marriage, saving killers, and constantly thwart the will of the people, the Congress, the Founders, and the President.
It's a war about more than just one person. Storming in like Janet Reno would have resulting in Constitutional chaos and the ability to get rid of these Judicial Tyrants would be lost.
Are the nine RINOs who failed to act going to break out the champagne and caviar? Or maybe they will meet Michael Schiavo, George Greer, and George Felos for a victory party!
Many Constitutional experts agree that he did all he could UNDER THE LAW..........far more than most others did.
Please stop your speculating and condemnation. Please?
They could have saved her. All it took was the stroke of a pen. Greer as much as told the entire government to go to hell. He was more powerful than all of them put together. How can I protect my child when the entire system is set against her?
Righteous indignation is building up inside me.
Sounds like some of the same bullshit I've seen by some here.
"The Death Cultists have won."
yeah...Their motto:
Mors Vincet Omnia
"death conquers all"
and because they have no belief in an afterlife...they are correct...for themselves.
Yes, well proceeding slowly a little bit at a time it could illuminate some very basic and profound Catholic verities. The discussion, reading, and study in themselves can lead on to a deeper grasp of the faith. (obviously)
My sister in law went into a coma following the birth of her daughter. For six months she was on a respirator and feeding tube. When she came out of her coma she had to learn to talk, walk, eat all over again. Thank God she had a loving husband who saw to her care and success. Her daughter is now 21. My sister in law still has some residual effects of the illness (speech and walking are somewhat inhibited) and her husband thinks she's a peach! Unconditional and precious love was/is in abundance for her.
send your condolences to Terri's parents and family

Iva...News here in Toronto reporting Prince Albert of Monaco has taken over the reigns...no new word on his father's condition yet.
Now there is a person I admire! Levin may criticize judges, but he understands the law and knows that sometimes they and the executive branch come under fire when their hands were tied.

Punishment is not part of the crime (legal definition).
"Please stop your speculating and condemnation. Please?"
